SOD III will continue to innovate in space habitation by combining architecture with life sciences and engineering. The different disciplines will work together even more closely in order to design a Martian habitat.
We want to speed up the process of realising Martian habitats because we are convinced that the pace of innovation in circular living can be, and needs to be challenged.
Living on Mars means building with in situ materials, and using these sparingly and efficiently. At the same time, inhabitants will have essential needs to be fulfilled such as breathable air, nutrition and mental health. All of these are addressed in this project.
